Right click the device. Click uninstall device. Check box to remove software. Unplug USB and replug into computer. Box will appear asking what to do with this device. Quickly click that box. Same here. Suddenly iTunes today no longer recognizes my iPhone8. When I plug it in, iTunes starts, but does not see the iPhone.
